Data sources
Version 2026-09-06 · Last updated
Every row in the database carries its source, its filing date and its as-of stamp, and every figure on a page can be traced back to one of the sources below. None of them receives any personal data from us.
Prices right now
Last close. Prices are the last stored close with its date; live quotes are paused pending the data-vendor licence. Not for trading.
Sources and attribution
- Financial Modeling Prep — Financial statements, quotes (delayed), filings index, analyst estimates, insider and institutional ownership, news. Data provided by Financial Modeling Prep. Licensed for display within the platform; not for redistribution. Live display is governed by DATA_LICENCE_MODE.
- FRED, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis — Treasury yields (DGS10 and the curve), credit spreads, macro series behind the Pythia Macro Index. Source: Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED). Series are named where used; some originate with the BLS, BEA or ICE and are republished by FRED.. Public data under the FRED terms of use; series-level provenance is shown beside each figure.
- European Central Bank — Euro foreign-exchange reference rates (the first leg of the FX converter). Euro foreign exchange reference rates © European Central Bank. Free reuse with attribution; rates are reference rates, not tradable quotes.
- U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission — Filing documents (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Form 4, 13F) linked from every filing row. Filing documents are hosted by the SEC at sec.gov. Public domain; we link to the original document rather than mirror it.
- Logo.dev — Company logos. Logos provided by Logo.dev. Per the Logo.dev terms; we never persist tokened logo URLs.
- Aswath Damodaran, NYU Stern — Equity risk premium and country risk premia used by the valuation models. Equity and country risk premia: Aswath Damodaran, NYU Stern School of Business (published datasets). Published academic datasets, cited inline wherever a premium is applied.
Freshness
- Prices — refreshed within 24 hours; delayed or end-of-day, never real-time-for-trading.
- Financial statements — the full universe cycles about every six days, recently filed companies first.
- Computed metrics and scores — recomputed daily from the latest statements and prices.
- Filings, insider and institutional activity — ingested daily from the vendor feed and linked to the original document.
- Macro series and FX — daily.
A value that is missing says why — not applicable, not meaningful, or pending — rather than printing a dash or a zero. Where a vendor emits a zero for a line it could not source, the boundary repairs it to a missing value only where the payload contradicts itself; a real zero stays a zero.
What we do not have
- Live quotes for trading: display data is delayed or end-of-day by licence.
- Paid M&A deal values: the vendor publishes parties and dates only, so precedent multiples are market-implied from our own price archive and labelled as such.
- Consensus vintage history for quarterly prints: pre-report estimates are shown as “Estimate”, never “consensus”.
Report a data issue
Every company page has a “Report a data issue” button in its toolbar; the report reaches us with the ticker and the leaf you were on. You can also write to the addresses on the contact page.
